Hi Annie,
Just wondering where you bought your kitchen torch. I would like to buy one and was hoping you might be able to make a recommendation. I've been looking at torches at Williams Sonoma and Crate and Barrel so far.

Thanks!

Looks so yummy! Can't wait to try it!! A little secret that a chef friend taught me recently when I was explaining my love for the pre-packaged flavor and my dislike of the additives - the secret, he explained, was in salt. Adding a bit of salt (say 1/8 tsp. per cup of oatmeal) makes a huge difference!

I made this tonight for dinner. I know it's a breakfast dish but something about the cold and rain made me really want to do the breakfast dinner thing. It was delicious! I used milk instead of water and added a little more sugar and vanilla. It was a hit! My 20 month old had three bowls full :)

I like stirring homemade applesauce (with nutmeg and cinnamon) into my oatmeal...it tastes similar to the Apple flavored oatmeal that comes in the little packets :)
