I made the pumpkin pie bars last night. I think I might have sprinkled about 1/4 cup of butterscotch chips on top, but next time I'm going to put alot more. It needs the extra sweetness. They are good though. :)

This is way old, but I am living abroad...do you know how much pumpkin is in a can? I have to make my own puree. Thank you!

Yum! I made these yesterday for a group. I'm pretty sure one guy had at least four, maybe more, pieces. Like you, I much prefer the 9x13" pan versions of recipes - more to go around! I had never thought about butterscotch, which I adore, with pumpkin, but it was perfect. I also agree that these are better than pumpkin pie. Thanks!

I made these last week and they were delicious! I sprinkled coconut on top along with the butterscotch morsels... it was a nice touch. I am not a huge fan of pumpkin pie, and although these bars were similar...they were so much more exciting!
