Going to be cooking this for dinner tomorrow night. I couldn't find Lo Mein noodles either of the places we went shopping last week so I just bought linguine noodles. Hopefully those will do. I didn't feel like driving all over the place looking for Lo Mein. I did remember afterwards that there is at least one asian market in town and I will have to ask around and see if anyone knows anything about it. We do have a Trader Joe's going up but it won't be open till the end of othe year. Cannot wait!

This recipe was awesome. Tasted almost like real Chinese take out and definitely satisfied my craving! I did my own adaptation as well on my blog.

I made this last night for my family - instant hit!! I surprisingly had no trouble finding lo mein noodles (Yay!). I will double the recipe next time, as it was gone in record time, which meant no left overs for lunch today. :(

Thanks for the great (and quick and easy) recipe!!

I made this for dinner last night using lo mein noodles and it was pretty good. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

Cindy Lou,
I have no idea. Everywhere I looked in Indy (Meijer, Kroger, Target, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, etc.), I have been unable to find them. I buy mine at Kroger in Bloomington when I go visit my family.

I found some fresh lo mein noodles in a Vietnamese store near by and I immediately thought of this recipe. They do taste fine with a little hoisin and oil but i'm excited to taste this. Also, I think you could sub oyster sauce out with fish sauce.. they're similar and fish sauce is easy to find.

Another recipe you may like is fresh spring rolls. If you can find a vietnamese store, they have rice paper there and pho noodles. Then all you need is some sprimp, thai basil, cilantro, lettuces, carrots, bean sprouts, whatever you want to add, roll it up and serve.. they're delicious!
