this turned out perfect but i added nutmeg and cinnamon to the peaches and dough and it was perfect. for the mason jar i would bake the dough and peaches separately and then assemble them in each individual jar. I have my own baby shower coming up so that's what i am doing.

I haven't tried that so I'm not sure. You'll just have to experiment. Good luck!

hi annie! i would love to make this cobbler as a "take home and bake" favor for a baby shower - how would you recommend modifying the recipe so that it could be baked in mason jars?

thank you!!!

I really don't think it would be worth making with frozen peaches, and I don't think they would function the same in the recipe. Wait until summer when peaches are in season - it will be worth the wait.

I am really wanting to make this peach cobbler for Easter, but am having a hard time finding peaches right now. Would I be able to use frozen peaches? I know I may not get all the great flavoring, but was wondering if this might be a good alternative.

man, this was amazing! i was making chicken and biscuits for dinner and they always make me think of the fruit/berry cobblers my gram used to make. unlike the batter cobblers that are all over most food blogs, my gram's recipes had very slightly sweet biscuits like this one. i've unfortunately lost my gram's cobbler recipe, so i was very excited to find this one. this is every bit as good as i remember hers being, wonderful recipe!! the juice/sauce part of my cobbler didn't thicken for some reason, but it tastes so good i really can't make myself care!! i can't wait to make this again through the summer after visiting the peach orchards here in georgia and the pick-your-own berry farms. i'm going to assume this will work with most any fruit or berry, so i feel it's my duty to try them all ;)

A friend of mine recommend your site to me and I'm loving it. Tonight I tried your peach cobbler recipe and I absolutely love the way those biscuits on top turned out - so light, fluffy, and not-to-bad on the waistline. The only things I changed on the recipe were nectarines for the peaches (plus a couple of spare plums I had on hand), and lime juice instead of lemon. Fantastic!

Hi Annie,

I remembered eating this cobbler and it was so delicious that I decided to make it for my roommate on her birthday. She said she wanted something "southern" so I used fresh Georgia peaches and it turned out beautifully! Thanks :)
