Hey Annie, I'm new to your blog, but I tried your white chocolate mocha cupcakes for my mom's co-workers last week and they didn't even last the day, they were such a hit. I'm going to try these for tomorrow's thursday treat day and see how they do. Only problem is that there's a co-worker who is (like me) allergic to strawberries. She can't even touch them though. I'm going to substitute raspberries instead, so I'll let you know how it goes!

Right, there are no liners on mine. You should use foil liners though, because they are more sturdy and can hold up to the ice cream and peel away easily.

Hey Annie! I just got my KA Ice cream maker and I was browsing your ice cream section. I LOVE these for the Fourth of July!! I just had a quick question - are your cupcakes pictured without liners? I assume that's the cake that I see in your pic, but I wasn't sure. In other words, it doesn't matter what liner I use, because these cupcakes are/can be served without liners to show off their colors? Thanks!!

I made these for a 4th of July picnic and they were a hit. It was so hot and the cupcakes were a perfect combination of cake and ice cream in one neat package. Everyone loved them especially the kids.

I saw the same article. There were so many options and I love that you picked the Manchego cheese option. I love Manchego. What a cute post for the holiday. Looks great : )

Hi Teresa,
No, there is no special trick. I didn't have much trouble getting my strawberry slices to stand up. I used homemade ice cream, which is softer by nature though so maybe that was it. They certainly don't have to stand up to look pretty. You can just lay a slice on top as I did here or you could fan a few slices out on top in a starburst pattern. Good luck!
:) Annie

Is there a trick to getting the strawberry slices to stand up? I guess I will have to let the ice cream get a little bit softer to decorate? So far, no luck.
