Hi Ashley,
I really don’t think puff pastry would be a good substitute in this case. I think if you wanted to use puff pastry, you could maybe do some small tartlets with the same filling, but I probably wouldn’t go the calzone route.

I made these last night and they were SO GOOD! My husband never likes things like this, so I made him a couple BBQ chicken ones instead (using BBQ sauce, chicken, and cheese). He ended up loving your recipe and the BBQ one!!! That just goes to show how great these are! ;)

I absolutely LOVED these! The dough is definitely my favorite recipe that I have made yet and the filling is fantastic! Along with the other fillings, I used an Italian blend of cheeses and got the best of both worlds, the wonderful flavor of Parmesan, and the creaminess of provolone. LOVE IT!!!
