I like mine okay, but the best waffle maker there is (and the one I plan to get very soon) is the WaringPro waffle maker. It was highly rated by Cook's Illustrated. I bought it for my father in law a few years ago and it has made for some amazing brunches since then. In fact, I think you just inspired me to purchase it now!

Hey Annie,
I am looking to buy a waffle maker so I went back in your archives to try and find out what kind you have (I trust your judgment when it comes to good appliances and good food). The link doesn't seem to be working anymore, probably because the post is a few years old. Could you tell me what brand you have? I would really appreciate it :)

Honestly I almost never worry about that with milk and eggs in such recipes. With macarons, yes, otherwise, no.

Have you made these before w/o letting the eggs & milk come to room temp? Curious what the difference is... I wanted to make these last minute last weekend but didn't have time for room temp ingredients.

Got my first waffle maker for Mother's Day and these were the first waffles I made on it. They turned out perfectly! We didn't add any toppings or syrups. This recipe made 6 waffles in my Waring Pro. I love this recipe and my waffle maker! With the first 5 I was bummed that they didn't look perfect on top -- on the 6th one, I flipped it over onto the plate & absolute perfection! So with the next batch, all will be served flipped over! :)

I received a Belgium Waffle Maker for my birthday in January and have tried many recipes that just didn't turn out right for one reason or another. Your recipe rocks! It was easy and absolutely delicious!! Thanks!

Yummy. I have a blog by the same name (chocolate chip waffle)...I saw your post on Google and had to check it out.

I eat them regularly for breakfast. My kids love 'em, too.

Cheers!
