Hi Annie, is there any healthier substitute for the whipping cream? Could I use D milk? Or, since it's only a half cup, does it not matter too much fat/calorie wise?

Should I soak my beans before hand? If so, how long?

Just made this for dinner. Although I knew it would taste good I didn't realize that I would fall in love at first bite. Definitely gonna be cooking this again!

I made this yesterday, and it was a hit! Because I was assembling and cooking most everyhing at someone else's house later in the day, I boiled chicken in chicken broth and cut it into chunks earlier in the day. Then I added it to the pot with the beans, etc... to heat through. Delicious!

No, as the recipe indicates, you add those ingredients together and cook the chicken with the spices.

Hi Annie! I'm planning to try this recipe today. I was just wondering, should I cook the chicken first before adding the onion and garlic powder? Thanks.
